July 31, 2021 All Day
A 1km paddle up Mellon Creek brings us to a deep secluded lake, 4km long with only 15 cottages. Most of the shoreline is crown land. Scenic granite ridges beside the lake are home to the five-lined skink, Ontario’s only lizard. Weather permitting, we shall paddle the full length of the shoreline. Leisurely paddlers can keep pace with the fleet by shortcutting across narrow bays and/or taking a siesta after lunch.
Distance: 10-15km. Full day paddle, all levels. No shuttle;
no portages; no zebra-mussels.
Call Paul and Janice at 613-877-3907 before 9p.m. or email
