Overview of how to get the events from TeamUp onto the website:

This was created thus:

  1. First select the events to be copied in TeamUp List View
  2. then copy from TeamUp List View,
  3. then paste into a Google Doc,
  4. then edit the doc to correct formatting errors and improve readability,
  5. then copy from the Google doc,
  6. then paste into the website,
  7. then add colour,
  8. then correct formatting issues,
  9. then turn email addresses into clickable links.

It’s messy and takes longer than what Connie’s former word doc, but doable.

This is how it might look after all the steps above:

Sat Jul 27, Mellon Lake Paddle

Typepaddle

LeaderPaul and Janice

A 1 km paddle up Mellon Creek brings us to a deep secluded lake, 4km long with only 15 cottages. Most of the shoreline is Crown land. Scenic granite ridges beside the lake are home to the five-lined skink, Ontario’s only lizard. Weather permitting, we shall paddle the full length of the shoreline. Depending on water level, there may be the opportunity to walk on water!   Leisurely paddlers can keep pace with the fleet by shortcutting across narrow bays and/or taking a siesta after lunch. Distance: 10-15 km. Full day paddle, all levels. No shuttle; no portages.  Call Paul and Janice at 613-877-3907 before 9 pm or email paul@cataraquicanoe.ca to take part.
