Here are answers to some commonly asked questions …

  • Complete the Boat Description Form below.
  • Do not complete the Storage Space Application form.
  • Send in your fee.
  • Space can be rented by Cataraqui Canoe Club members only.
  • Each adult member is entitled to 1 space, when available.
  • The boathouse is not a long term storage facility. It is intended for use by active members who use their boat from time to time in a paddling season.
  • Any adult member applying for a boathouse space should live within some reasonable distance from Kingston, about 50km.
  • Exceptions are possible. Please contact the boathouse manager to discuss your situation.

Please complete the Storage Space Application form (below). This form will go to the boathouse manager. If there is no spot immediately available, your name will be added to a waiting list.

If you want to find out if there is a waiting list, contact the boathouse manager directly at boathouse@cataraquicanoe.ca.

  • The list is maintained on a first come first served basis.
  • When a spot becomes available, the boathouse manager will contact the first person on the waiting list.
  • If there is no response after a reasonable time, the next person will be contacted.

The boathouse manager will provide you a key. This key must be returned when you vacate your spot and your key deposit will be returned.

Specific spots are assigned by the boathouse manager. There are various considerations taken in account, such as frequency of use, member age, physical abilities, boat dimensions etc. Some spots require the use of a manually operated lift to access the boat.

No. Transferring your spot to another member is contrary to Club policy. Please return your key to the boathouse manager. Your deposit will be returned.
